Youth Events

SCHOOL YEARS 7-12 - 9am & 11am

If you’re in school years seven - twelve, why not join us on a Sunday morning to hang out, and look at the big questions of life? Each session contains small group discussions, video clips, teaching and time to connect, and what's more, we provide breakfast!

We are passionate about what we believe, and want to learn how to demonstrate God’s love to those around us.

The Sunday Gathering happens once a month as we gather together and have our own worship time led by our Youth Band. Starting with breakfast (9am & 11am) we then have worship, a preach and time to reflect and respond.

The Sunday Gathering is also a great way for you to get involved on team, from our welcoming team to our serving team, to helping with production, events and helping lead up front.

We want to support young people in every part of their lives, so we try to regularly connect into the Peterborough City schools during term time. We get involved in assemblies, lessons and lunch clubs, so look out for us in your school and come and say hello...

Louder Lunch Club

Ken Stimpson Community School / Tuesdays - 12:45pm - 1:25pm / In the Conference Room

Thomas Deacon Academy / Fridays - 11:45am - 12:45pm & 12:45pm - 1:45pm / In Room A06

We are always looking to help you as a student. If we don't have a lunch club in your school and you would like one, simply email Adrian Peters and we’ll see what we can do.

What’s KingsGate Youth all about?

We want to support and encourage every young person, wherever they’re at on their journey with God. We believe God has a plan and a purpose for their lives and that they have, in the hands of God, a great future to look forward to.

Are all the events supervised?

All of our programmes are supervised and overseen by our team of adult leaders. Our team have undergone DBS checks and agreed to work under our Child Protection Policy. Our aim is not only to create a fun, positive atmosphere at all of our events, but also create a safe and secure environment, where young people are supported and cared for.

Does my child need a consent form for events?

For events such as Friday nights and Sunday mornings we will take down your contact details in case we need to get hold of you, however a consent form is not needed. A consent form will be needed for trips outside of the church building and when we require a payment.

Sunday Mornings:

A minibus service runs every Sunday morning, subject to availability – please contact the church office (01733 311156) for more information.

How much does it cost to attend?

KingsGate Youth is free of charge. Events where payment is needed will be clearly advertised. There may be occasions, when we provide food on a Friday night, where we may ask for a small contribution, but this will be highlighted in advance.

Are the leaders professionally qualified?

All of our leaders are highly valued and are provided with regular training opportunities. Although some of them may not be Youth Workers by profession, they take it just as seriously, and many have Youth Worker qualifications.

How do I contact you if I have more questions?

Phone the Church Office from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday on: 01733 311156
Email the Youth Department at: youth@peterborough.kingsgateuk.com

These are all questions that Youth Alpha seek to answer over a 10 week course.

We use the Youth Alpha Film Series to unpack the topic of the week, with loads of time to stop and chat about what we've just watched and ask those questions you've always wondered about!

We go BIG right from the start with our Youth Alpha Launch Night with food and continue the weeks with time to hang out with mates and games.

Keep your eyes open for when we're next running this course.

Youth Beta has been written by the KingsGate Youth Team, and covers topics such as 'God the Father', 'Staying Connected', 'Forgiveness' and 'Worship'.

This course is a follow on from Youth Alpha, but is also great for those who have been on a Christian walk for a while. Keeping the informal setting, similar to Youth Alpha, we have small groups perfect for discussion, with a short talk each week, and of course plenty of food and games!

Keep your eyes open for when we're next running this course.

Deeper is a place where you can go deeper in your relationship with God - wherever it’s at.

In the first part of the evening we give bite-sized chunks of teaching on things like; how to read your Bible, how to pray, and how to worship.

The second part, is putting what we’ve learnt into practice - the doing!

A weekly challenge helps us apply it to our everyday lives.

Keep your eyes open for when we're next running this course.
